The Zig Zag Building

Architectural bronze panels and wayfinding details at Victoria Street, London.

Case study / 04

The project

The Zig Zag Building project brought a new civic aesthetic to Victoria Street, London SW1. Panels were modelled in CAD to refine the design, followed by a full-scale mock-up for testing.

Bronze panels were polished and painted, then rubbed back and sealed to highlight the crest of each wave. LED spotlights were concealed behind horizontal panel junctions.

For the related Kings Gate development, AATi Foundry cast a bronze signage plaque with raised lettering for the residential entrance, then polished and patinated it on site to match the entrance door frame.

Project details are based on the published case record. The hero artwork is illustrative; original project photographs, where available, appear below.
