At AATi, exceptional castings start with exceptional metal. Our melting facilities combine 13 modern electric induction and gas furnaces with the metallurgical expertise of our foundry team, giving us the flexibility to work with a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Through careful control of melting conditions, alloy composition and metal preparation, we strive to deliver clean, consistent metal that meets the exacting requirements of each application.
Our approach brings together modern melting technology and traditional foundry craftsmanship. Our experienced team understands the importance of getting the fundamentals right, from selecting and preparing charge materials to controlling melt chemistry and ensuring the metal is ready for pouring. This attention to detail helps establish the metallurgical integrity required for reliable casting performance.
Our Melting Capabilities
- Ferrous castings – up to 1 tonne — Cast iron, spheroidal graphite (SG) iron and alloyed irons.
- Non-ferrous castings – up to 500 kg — Copper, high-conductivity copper and specialist copper alloys.
- Aluminium castings – up to 400 kg — A range of aluminium alloys tailored to the requirements of the application.
Our combination of furnace capacity and material flexibility allows us to support diverse projects, from specialist components to larger, more demanding castings.
